Businesses should stay out of politics
Dear editor:
The Chamber of Commerce has as its slogan “Shop Local.”
Over the last year, I have been in at least a half dozen businesses where the owners either allowed or participated in contentious political discussions of candidates, parties, etc.
These businesses need to remember that this election season will be over, but a negative view of their business can last forever.
The merchants should also note that money isn’t red or blue. It’s all green.
